Make
Make is a mixed-use, creative office space in Carlsbad, CA. It is a repositioned warehouse space less than a mile from from Carlsbad State Beach which makes it the perfect location for the active lifestyle of many local companies in the San Diego area. As part of the team working on the branding and marketing portion of the update, I helped to develop and optimize the logotype, and designed several pieces of collateral for the initial announcement. I also ran point on the print production of these items including sourcing solid black pencils and wrapping the commuter vans owned by the building.
As part of the concept for the space, there are shipping containers harkening back to the original warehouse, which have been repurposed to become various utilities on the site. I worked with renowned artist, Jason Woodside, to have one of those containers painted as a marketing statement piece. I then too the painting he created and vectorized it to be used on the printed ephemera including a special opening event invitation which was die-cut and scored so it could be folded into a miniature replica of the shipping container.
