Alterra

Provo, Utah-based pest control company, Alterra, moved into their headquarters which required updates and environmental branding. They have a relatively young workforce which requires a fresh space in which to work, congregate, and play. I designed a full-sized basketball court and an upstairs loft/green room space to accommodate some of these activities.

The green room features an art installation featuring some custom paintings as well as scientific illustrations and vintage, insect-themed, monster movie posters. I sourced all the artwork, including working with painter and illustrator, Ruel Brown, to create the custom bug water colors, then designed a layout showing the positioning of each piece. I worked with a local artisan to have each piece framed and installed.

I also designed a custom skateboard installation featuring a graphic made from the company’s internal slogan. I procured blank skate decks, had them delivered to a printer, and then had the custom artwork printed and installed.

I had an ongoing relationship with Alterra, working closely with their executive team to design and print several pieces including an annual recruiting brochure, stationery, and custom swag for several events held over the course of a few years.
